Description: Demonstrates the polarization and intensity of 12mm microwaves scattered by various metallic objects, some much larger, others much smaller, than the microwavelength. Uses flat surfaces, wire grating, wires and small beads. Shows radiation scattered from the small beads to be linearly polarized, even when the incident radiation is circularly polarized. Also shows how light is polarized as it is scattered by the air molecules in the atmosphere.
