Safety in your hands

This 1974 film examines the responsibility of each worker for their own safety in the workplace. The film focuses particularly on protection of hands and eyes in industrial settings, showing a variety of machines operated by people. It demonstrates how untidiness, inattention, overconfidence and failure to use safety precautions such as safety glasses when operating these machines can lead to accidents. Footage of industrial workplaces is interspersed with footage of everyday accidents similarly caused by mess, distraction and overconfidence.
