Description: Discusses the life and work of the Flemish-Italian painter Peter Rubens. Explains that in 1630, at his own request, Rubens was released from the Infanta of Spain and married Helen Fourment, his second wife, who became his model in many paintings done for pleasure. Shows examples of these paintings, as well as some of the portraits and baroque works commissioned while he was a court painter.
