Roots, Episode 2: The African, Part 2

Completes the rites of manhood of Kunta and his friends, to the rejoicing of the village. Follows Kunta into the jungle, where he is captured by white slavers, branded, and chained in the hold of the Lord Ligonier, which is on its way to Maryland. Depicts the slaves, ravaged by dysentery, seasickness, and festering sores, with only one flickering hope--mutiny.
