Rohani steps out

Description: A shy young Malay housewife, Rohani, is persuaded by the village headman’s wife to join her local Women’s Institute. There she finds companionship in learning new crafts and skills among women of different races and creeds. Later Rohani is able to help other housewives, by teaching them the skills she has acquired, and by persuading them to join the Women’s Institue.
