Description: Uses newsreel footage with narration to present a biography of the former Senator from Ohio and leader of the Republican Party. Dramatizes Taft's insistence that the Nuremberg Trials villated the principle that a man cannot be tried under an ex post facto statute. He maintained, against American public opinion, that the crimes for which the Nazis were condemned had never been formalized as crimes nor outlawed with a death penalty by international law.
