Episode of Series “The Australian eye I”. A study of the painting “Rhythmic Composition in Yellow Green Minor” (1919) by Roy de Maistre (1894-1968). Also discusses the artist’s theories linking music to painting and his belief in harmony in life and art. One of the first abstract paintings produced in Australia - far advanced for its time. De Maistre also developed and patented a colour wheel.
