Description: A German language film with English subtitles. Travels alongside its namesake, the renowned city train, and relates two love stories, one the legend of beautiful Lorelei, the other a modern melodrama in which the wife of a diplomat loves her former boyfriend, a waiter in the dining car. She is caught by her husband, mortally wounded, and, during the remaining trip through Germany, dies a slow death filled with fragmented memories.
