Reproduction of plants

Description: Reproduction of Liverworts, observed under a microscope. When an egg cell is fertilised it produces a new plant, the sporophyte, a capsule containing spores. Each spore produces a gametophyte which in turn produces a sporophyte. This “alternation of generations” takes place through countless generations of liverworts.
