Description: Uses computer graphics to visually prove the first half of the Whitney-Graustein theorem which states: two regular curves which are regularly homotopic must have the same rotation number. Defines conditions necessary for regular curves and regular homotopies. Illustrates violations and nonviolations of the conditions concluding with the proof of the theorem.
