Description: In this witty adaptation, the traditional fairy tale is given an educational and healthful twist. Upon seeing the ugly wolf disguised in Grandmother's clothing, Little Red Riding Hood comments on the old woman's unhealthy demeanor. Along with some very articulate foods which appear from her seemingly bottomless basket, Red instructs her on the benefits of various food groups: vegetables, grain, dairy products, and fruit. Dissuading Grandma from eating red meat, the resourceful girl prepares a nutritious, well-balanced meal for her. Initially pessimistic about this nutritious repast, the wolf partakes of his granddaughter's dinner and is surprised to discover how good it is.
