hello this is Polly Bergen speaking on behalf of your Red Cross Blood program every day in hospitals in this area blood is being used to save lives not long ago during an illness I received blood and it saved my life some member of your family may need blood to help recover from an accident an illness or an operation in this age of scientific progress there is still no substitute for the blood which only you and I can give you may think it's difficult to donate it isn't and it doesn't take much time I've been a donor I know the whole process takes about an hour the actual donation less than 10 minutes think about that a moment 10 minutes to help save a life what could be more important won't you please call your Red Cross chapter for an appointment thank you
