Systemic blastomycosis is defined as a chronic granulomatous mycosis primarily in the lungs. Early symptomatology is presented. Differential diagnosis is discussed. Epidemiology and concurrent factors, such as race, sex, age are indicated. Isolation and identification of B dermatitidis are discussed along with histopathological examination of tissue. Briefly discusses therapeutic approaches.
