Description: Presents an experiment in which conditioned responses to tone and light stimuli are developed in dogs given erythroidine, a curare-like drug which produces paralysis. An electric shock is used as an unconditioned stimulus. Conditioned responses produced during the drug state cannot be elicited after recovery but reappear spontaeously when the animal is again given the drug.
