Protist Ecology

Discusses the vital role played by the protists in the ecology of the planet Earth. Examines the commensal, parasitic, and mutualistic life styles practiced by a large number of protist species.

Lots of microcinematography (microscope shots). Cow grazing, cow with a big hole cut into its side, which is plugged up with a rubber stopper. Arm reaches in and pulls out half-digested goo. Puts sample on a slide, and we then see what is living in the cow’s stomach. Really really gross.
