Complete Record: Traces the development of man's early ways of life from the beginning of the New Stone Age through the Ages of Bronze and Iron, to the end of the prehistoric ages. In the Stone Age man is shown to have been a hunter and nomad, but when he learned to plant and harvest he became a farmer. Explains that the Bronze Age changed the character of warfare and that knowledge of the plow came from southern Europe. About 500 B.C. Man in this region learned of iron, which knowledge changed his life. Concludes by specifying that the basis for a written language came from the south and that runic letters carved on objects marked the beginning of records and the end of the prehistoric ages in Northern Europe.
