Description: Gorin explores the case of the Kennedy twins, 6-year-old girls who captured headlines in 1977 by conversing in what seemed to be an invented Language . The film becomes the director's own search for his subject, about the failed American Dream of the twins' German mother and Southern-born father, the cultural manifestations of lower middle class life in California, media exploitation and dysfunctional Language . An unstructured discourse (the Language of the twins) [is] surrounded by structured discourse (the discourse of the family, the discourse of the media, the discourse of therapy, the discourse of documentary filmmaking).
