Uses animation, microcinematography and live-action photography to point out that animals must breathe to live. Shows that living organisims take in oxygen and give off carbon dioxide. Illustrates breathing of small animals through their body coverings, aquatic animals through gils, insects through tubes in their bodies, and larger land animals through lungs.
