Description: This police department training film depicts situations of abuse of authority by officers. An officer exits his car and stops a former inmate on the street (02:19). Another officer arrives (02:37). One of the two body search him while the other one searches his possessions (03:03). The man and woman give their statement to one officer (06:27). The other officer is looking around in their living room (06:59). He finds the bud of a joint in an ashtray and calls over the other officer (07:06). The couple looks distressed (07:31). The two officers disagree whether to make a case of it (07:38). They go into the living room the speak to the woman’s husband (08:48). They confront the husband with the wife’s allegations of child abuse (08:58). The other officer questions the husband in a threatening manner (09:44). The officer then physically confronts the husband by pushing him (10:17). The officer questions the two men while expressing homophobia (12:30). The homosexual couple get back in the car (13:38). One of them is upset and the other one attempts to comfort him (13:46). foreign [Music] foreign carefully okay you know when you pin one of these on depend on a lot of responsibility a lot of authority over other people's lives along with it sure the law departmental regulations they tell you a lot about the authority that goes along with the badge but when you're out here on the streets you're on your own the chips are down you're the guy that has to decide how he's going to use that Authority try to imagine yourself in each of the situations you're about to see what would you do [Music] 4 13 to 4 16.
