You know, if you watch TV, you get the idea that the police officer's job is just one big round of high-speed chases and excitement when actually most of the work is made up of things just like this. Handling drunks and lost children and cats in trees and arguments. Serving the public can get pretty frustrating sometimes. No, we don't use the quota system at all. Well, then why don't they why don't they take care of something that really needs taken care of? People are being robbed on this street. Places are being broken into and they're stopping me for 5 miles an hour over limit. It's always possible you got a bum deal. Damn right I got a bum deal. Excuse me, Dave. I'm going to get a drink. And uh why don't you guys, you know, handle calls in the county, we'll handle calls in the city, and uh and then we'll give you the information when we get it. Uh he asked for the money and I took it out of the register, put it in a paper bag. Golly, can you believe those guys? Went down towards the crooks from the corner.
