[Music] [Music] oh [Music] I [Music] [Music] New York is not an easy place for kids to grow up it's hot in the summer [Music] [Music] there's not much room to [Music] play sometimes there's nothing to do but get into [Music] trouble but there is something that can be done for the city's children who need a place to play and it's being done by pal a the Police Athletic League or Pal as it is generally known is the best friend the less privileged youngster of New York has some 100,000 of these youngsters look at their Pals at pal to provide for them the social cultural and recreational activities they cannot afford and do not have pal gives them the guidance and the help that makes them better students better workers better leaders and better citizens pal is dedicated to keeping the good kids good and to doing Special work with children who get into trouble how's many and varied activities interest boys and girls at different age levels and Foster their talents through such programs as arts and crafts and Athletics a [Music] oh [Music] la [Music] the programs of Pal's play Street also includes drama music and dance the play Street program is not just throwing out a bat and ball and telling the kids to go to it by themselves it's planning it's teaching it's being a friend it's caring and it works [Music] [Music] n [Music] [Music] oh
