[Music] so [Music] setting the trends making friends each day ends like the last hitting the ice the bright lights getting faster then for kicks got the mix with the chicks it's a ball [Music] why should we worry before we get old why should we do [Music] [Music] why should we worry before we get old why should we do what we do [Music] are you and jenny really good friends we're best friends well you know she doesn't have the best reputation [Music] losers [Music] it's my business who my friends are and jenny is my best friend everybody loves her she's pretty and and everything and you it's you who's always telling me that i should get along with people who get along but if you start running with the wrong crowd you know girls like jenny with bad reputations well you know drinking and smoking and all that nobody dear but well one thing leads to another and mary did you know that maybe you do i don't know but but among other things jenny was caught shoplifting that old thing when are you people gonna stop begging her about that once just once and that was last year well that all may be true dear but i just feel a lot better if you didn't have her at your party but i invited her why don't you meet her at the party maybe after the party someday after when well you know when things have settled down she might not be my friend anymore then well anyway you know how i feel about it why did you believe me i told you jane's mother just talks she doesn't know anything i don't mean to fight with you wouldn't you fight for your friend i'm your mother dear and i feel close to you at least as close to you as your friends oh mom i just think it would be better if jenny didn't come tomorrow night mom jenny is all right so she was caught once she doesn't steal anymore and the rest is just just stuff you've heard well i can't help how i feel well if jenny can't come to the party then i don't want to have it at all if you have the party or not that's up to you if jenny comes or not that's up to you too i um was thinking i might go down shopping this afternoon would you like to go along with me here we have this paper on insects oh and i have to go to the library and she asked me if she could help maybe i could help she asked me do you think your mom knows anything about bugs sure that flies and mosquitoes in mind let's see i meet you at home at five i said so that was cool do you think dennis will notice me in this that's not your color yeah i guess you're right hey maybe i'll go to gypsy what do you think [Music] oh look at this why mary i thought we finished early at the library is this your friend dear oh jenny this is my mother i'm mary's mother jenny's kind of a net mom this is interesting what do you call it this style oh i don't know just something i slipped on mary i think it's time that you and i got home for dinner do you have a way home jenny oh no thank you i think i'll stay here and pick up something for the party all right dear mary you stay here and browse with jenny while i go powder my nose then we'll go on home all right all right mom i like your mom mary just a minute jenny [Music] well well what i haven't changed my mind if that's what you mean why did you treat her nice if you don't like her i wouldn't be rude to any of your friends mary no matter what i thought of them i don't like you spying on me it's dishonest you said you were going to the library i believed you you say you were at the library i believe you i bet this is not the place to argue with me young lady i do not spy on my children i don't snoop yeah you got a bunch of hot news about ginny and you were supposed to be at the library she can't be such a good friend of yours if you're ashamed to let me know you're out with her i told you and then i'd believe you if you didn't act so so guilty she's my friend i'm your mother and i'm tired just sick and tired of this i don't approve of your friendship with jenny i've told you that now there's nothing more to be said about it today well listen you tell her what you like i'm going onto the car it's down the block in front of grafton's if you're not there in five minutes well i'll see you at home [Music] you
