Description: Describes the mechanisms concerned in the stimulation of pancreatic secretion by a meal, as illustrated by experiments on anaesthetised and conscious dogs. An animated sequence shows the intracellular changes which occur during secretion. Timelapse microcine photography records the disappearance of zymogen granules from the cells during secretion in the living mouse pancreas.
