Presents a class of elementary school children studying the meanings of the various symbols on the Great Seal of the United States. In making a model of it, the class learns when and why the seal was adopted, how each part - the eagle and the shield - tells a story about our country, and what important meanings are represented in the remaining verbal and graphic symbols. Concludes by showing some of the places where the seal is found.
