Description: Presents Dr. Gary Stollak of Michigan State University as he interprets the Otto case study film from the phenomenological perspective. Explains that Dr. Stollak does not believe that Otto necessarily has a problem but rather feels that Otto is very lonely because neither his wife nor his co-workers share his particular sense of values. Reports that Dr. Stollak would not consider Otto as a patient but rather as a fellow human being and that his encounters with Otto would not focus on producing changes in Otto but in giving Otto a sense of togetherness.
