Old enough but not ready: early recognition of learning disabilities

Description: Episode number 2 of Series “Learning Series”. Derek behaves as if he had difficulty uttering words; Eugene is unable to follow verbal instructions such as “left”, “first, “after”; Mark has yet to use his hands as though the fingers are ten distinct elements. Children of six and seven who are bright and cheerful but for various reasons are not yet able to cope with the demands made in a Grade One classroom. Dr. Sam Rabinovitch explains the advantage of early recognition of learning disabilities in children. Shows the learning and teaching difficulties of these children.
