Edited version., Jailed safecracker Jimmy Valentine is pardoned and reluctantly released by the warden who predicts Jimmy's talents will see him back behind bars. Jimmy returns to his vocation in a series of bank heists and then moves to Elmore, Arkansas, where a small bank attracts his attention. He meets the banker's daughter, and for some inexplicable reason, postpones robbing the safe. One day, a child is accidentally locked inside the bank's airtight timer vault. If Jimmy opens the safe, his past will be revealed and he will be returned to jail.
