and you know the guy who does the Pakistani cooking show well he's in the hospital with a severe case of hard ask me why we're doing this I'm only the cameraman okay uh okay have you got a pencil no are we ready to go ready okay yes sir okay the first question um do you think that the women's Liberation movement has come to an end to an end yeah no I don't the right word not at all would you care to elaborate um what well you'd have to Define what you mean by the women's Liberation movement well I know what it means to me rough roughly what does it mean to you how how is it affecting your life how is it affecting my life well I'll tell you it's a little rough right now but we're going to work out the Kinks and uh working for the first time in maybe 15 years and I'm loving it and um oh there are some adjustments to be made but I don't think you necessarily have to abandon your husband and your kids just because you want to have a thing thing of your own they have to uh to take a place in society play a different role and they're trying to find out what that real role is but again I'm not sure that is necessarily an equal role I think the women of my generation the first to have a raised Consciousness on the issue but that doesn't mean you can completely erase the values our parents have taught us just by deciding to that goes for men too so I wouldn't say equality but more towards the recognition of the um of the capabilities that women have that have not been um this guy recognized in the past I don't really know about this PR Tony well yeah he's a bit of a jerk they want say preferential treatment oh I like her no I really I'm not the only thing I'm worried about is the fact that I want to have my own career along with my husband and take care of the little house and kids at the same time and I can do it and anybody can do it if they got their act together well there's still a lot of discrimination against women and pay equality and job promotion although the Situation's improved but I think it's still got a long way to go I think he is again firms of any substance are I still think that uh are making efforts now the uh just the way that Shar it just doesn't really work very well with the the rest of them you know oh you think I went to to SL he's too slow what do you mean he too slow maneral think uh there are always going to be some radicals I graduated from R I can edit news though I for their open you know than what's normal there women Liberation or they call something else I think they she's good and I think really that uh I don't think there's that much prejudice against women any woman who wants to work hard enough can get exactly where she wants to get I don't think that the it's really all that prejudice I suppose the children of Our Generation the next are the first to have a chance at real equality do you think that um that women are sexually equal to men I I think actually men and women are different and I don't think me but if the waiter cares about me or say if a girl cares about me and waits on me head and foot well that's exploitation it's a problem I don't know what do you think do you like feeling special yes you know you are special but you know something else I'm special too I mean really there's nothing there's nothing special about being special everybody's special would you say all men are created special yeah well some people are more special than others I propose a toast to the more special people at this table a while back you said there were two important issues the first being the waiter what's the second the second yeah well um do you remember all the way back to that uh incident regarding the $20 Etc uh you know before we were friends yeah well it seems to me that either you're a very sadistic person or you're trying to tell me uh in a very bizarre fashion that in spite of my confidence that I can trust you and in spite of the audacity I've shown by inviting you out for dinner and then asking you to pay for it that you like me not that the material of this social intercourse can't be interpreted in a variety of manners or that my you know my own biased perspective isn't affecting this but I mean or you might be wondering where all this is leading up to and it may sound a bit ridiculous but I'm in love with you do you believe in love at first sight would it might be asking a lot but would you mind just saying something so that hell this isn't a dream you're right [Applause] for [Music] for [Music] so you moved in with Janette yeah it's great we're really in love really into having kids these days you know why it it messes up your lifestyle you know what it boils down to think about this which would you rather have a baby or a color TV I'd rather have a stereo
