Presents the first attempt to put vampire lore on film in the 1921 German adaptaton of Bram Stoker's Dracula, directed by I.M. Murnau (The Last Laugh and Sunrise). Tells the story of the vampire Nosferatu's seige of horror in the city of Bremen and of his ultimate defeat by a woman who is "pure of heart." Introduced by a textual sequence which explains the film's history and position as a film classic.
