Complete Record: Presents Nigeria as the giant of Africa. Points out that only in Nigeria can African art be studied. Their cultures, the geography, and their growth toward independence and the forming of their own modern Nigerian art. Examines the three regions and the culture of each of the peoples: the North, land of the Hausa and the Fulani; the East, land of the Ibo; and the West, land of the Yoraba. Tells how this nation of 40 million united to elect the representatives who were to structure their territories into a united, independent, and modern nation. Shows the traditional ways of life that still exist beside the modern changes that have now been adopted b increasing numbers of the people under the leadership of the first Federal Prime Minister, Sir Abubakan Tafawa Badewa.
