Focuses on the years 1904 to 1905. Shows some of the causes of the Russian Revolution that were clearly visible more than a decade before Lenin arrived at the Finland Station. Reveals the extreme contrasts of Russia, the Czar's autocratic power set against the workers' seething powerless misery, the liberal leanings of some of the Czar's advisors versus the radical demands of the revolutionaries and the peasants mystical faith in their Czar contrasted to the remoteness of Nicholas himself.
