Demonstrates experimental sensory devices being developed at Stanford Research Institute which may one day replace conventional aids for blind people. Pictures a buzzer, operated by a photo-electric cell, which signals contrasts and boundaries in the physical environment. Demonstrates two devices which may eventually replace the Braille system. Briefly discusses bio-sonar research with human beings.
