[Nature Reel] (silent, 1940s?) A silent compilation reel from the 1940s assembling a miscellany of nature and animal footage without a single narrative thread: a child cradling fluffy puppies in a garden, hens and chickens in a farm enclosure, sunlight filtering through trees over a rocky landscape, small birds gathering to feed, and a group of alligators basking in the sun. The footage likely comes from multiple sources stitched together for classroom or theatrical use, offering a gentle, unhurried survey of the natural world that reflects the era's fondness for wildlife as both educational subject and wholesome entertainment.
