Nara: a stroll through history

Description: The first of Japan’s capitals built in the middle of the sixth century, Nara is one of the country’s most ancient cities. It is a great temple with broad avenues and many fine buildings. The capital was moved to Kyoto, but Nara is still known as the “cradle of Japanese culture”.
