Description: Investigates first the vibration of strings and the relation between pitch and frequency, amplitude and loudness and the variation of frequency with tension, length and thickness of the strings. The variation of pitch with length of air column is considered in relation to the woodwind instruments. Percussion instruments are also discussed.
