Description: A number of musical instruments are shown. Saraswati veena is a favourite stringed instrument of Southern India. Denai is a reed instrument, usually played in company with several other instruments. Sursazar is a complicated string instrument; the strings are plucked with the left hand and bowed with the right, at the same time. Sitar is a plucked string instrument, and one of the best known of Indian instruments. Tabla and baya are drums, played together, one with each hand; they are mostly used for accompaniment, but sometimes are played alone.
