Motor Patterns Of Polar Bears

Illustrates the typical motor patterns of polar bears, including swimming, walking, trotting, galloping, diving and wading. Shows the bears in their natural habitat in the Spitzbergen Island group in the Arctic near Norway. Demonstrates, through scenes photographed underwater, that the hind legs act only as a rudder while the forelegs are used for propulsion.
