foreign [Music] one of the most beautiful lakes in the world but it's often overlooked for its great recreational facilities this Mile High lake has water sports activities for people of all ages [Music] Tahoe's water is chilly but when you're young and having fun it doesn't matter actually at many beaches the water temperature is a comfortable 70 degrees in the summer [Music] relax pier fishing is popular with Anglers of all ages at Zephyr Cove on the Nevada side of the lake you can rent a paddle boat Splash around safely in the calm water there's a launching ramp here and a perfect place for boating [Music] further north along the Nevada side near Incline Village is Sand Harbor Beach a State Recreation Area swimming is very popular here because of the warmer shallow water [Music] tables and a bath house are provided for your convenience Sand Harbor is one of Lake Tahoe's longest beaches where kids can have a great time in or out of the water [Music] number of places at Tahoe where you can take a cruise boat for an Excursion trip this is at Tahoe Keys at the south end and the boat takes you to beautiful Emerald Bay one of the best places at Tahoe for hiking is at Emerald Bay you get a great view of Eagle Falls there are trails that lead down to the water [Applause] you can go swimming and have a picnic along the shoreline of this Scenic Bay nearby's famed Vikings hole the Scandinavian Stone Castle situated just above the beach it's open to visitors adjacent to Emerald Bay is bliss State Park one of the most popular camping areas in California although the camping sites are usually pretty well filled in summer you can drive in for a day of swimming and sunbathing along the half-mile beach at Rubicon point our free a camera crew found this to be one of the prettiest beaches around the entire Lake Trails lead to several interesting landmarks at Bliss this is balancing Rock [Music] enjoy it on Lake Tahoe and there are many places to rent boats El Dorado County public beach is one that is delightfully uncruxed there are also three U.S forest Service beaches between Tahoe Valley and Emerald Bay both California and Nevada are developing additional Beach Recreation areas around Lake Tahoe's Shoreline all of this natural beauty varied Recreation is within easy driving distance of most northern California cities so to get away from it all for water sports in the beauty of the High Sierra what better spot than Scenic Lake Tahoe [Music] foreign
