Monkeys Meet The People

our big adventure began you might have thought we were just well we were having fun but there was danger too something was happening down there were excited even nipper who was late event was a spider was in the jungle we knew he was a man and we knew what he was up to sure we were afraid even if we acted brave how would you feel if somebody trapped you nipper yelled don't go near that box those carrots are tied to a string try to get them down goes the trapdoor and you're a garner we didn't go near the man while he was carrying a gun no sir [Music] nipper warned us about the trap it didn't long to find out where the man had left his bait and unlocked too guess he thought we weren't [Music] but he found out pretty soon that it wasn't so easy to fool us [Music] our king kiwa took charge free lunch he just wanted a bag of peanuts and a carrot none of us dared here until the king got his share then we talk it [Music] in what a party that was we had to take some chances but it was worth it [Music] chico wrestled with a coconut that was bigger than himself while kiwa stood on guard so that none of our little fellas would be caught we really raided the place [Music] and you should have seen nipper he made a wreck out of the trap [Music] just when we thought there was no more food left the man came up with another trick skipper yelled we're rise to that one too thanks for the pineapples but you won't catch me in that net we got the idea right away the man was supposed to pull in the pineapple we were supposed to try to get it he was supposed to swing the net and catch one of us [Applause] was a good idea that worked [Music] but it didn't work we had no knife to cut the string so we used our teeth [Music] what a riot we turned it into a football game nipper carried the ball we made plenty of touchdowns [Music] and when we make a touchdown we always eat the football i mean coconut [Music] the man tried every trick he knew it's a good thing he had plenty of bait [Music] and then i saw nipper go right up to the man and say hey mister don't you know when to give up we yelled you better start running but nipper went right on talking why are you trying to catch us anyway the man seemed pretty tame he explained that he wanted to put us in a zoo where people could come and look at us well said nipper then let them come here we'd like to see them too it's not so easy said the man but it might work at that i could build something to separate you that's a great idea said nipper come on we'll help you chico was afraid of falling as he looked at the little fish far below but some of his playmates dive right off the roof [Music] it takes nerve to make that jump [Music] [Music] different people came every day and we never got tired of watching them [Music] and we worked out a new game the bucket and the well they always filled it up with peanuts [Music] we really had a swell time eating all the extra special things the people gave us [Music] nipper kept the persian melon for himself [Music] and tomatoes oh yes we like salad oh boy i got a big piece of watermelon kiwa had his favorite corn on the cob [Music] chico had a real hard nut to crack [Music] so that's how it is now that we've met the people and nipper and the trapper man are great friends they sit and talk things over after the other people have left for the dish them has learned to understand us he doesn't look nipper in the eye because he knows we monkeys don't like to be stared at humans are very nice once you get to know them [Music] our worries about being caught in a trap are gone forever and here in the leafy jungle around the big cage we have more fun than a barrel of people
