Monkey Grip

Description: Explores the joys and traumas of a group of people living in Melbourne’s inner-city in the early 1980s. Revolving around the life of a single mother sharing a communal house, the film portrays the lives of talented and reckless musicians, actors and writers who refuse to live by the conventional rules. Noni Hazelhurst received an AFI Best Actress Award for her performance in 1982.
