A segment of reporting done on the ‘Minuteman Missile’ on Chet Huntley Reporting (the tv program) by Chet Huntley, an American television newscaster. One scene comedically depicts an unidentified newscaster receiving a report from a monkey. Minuteman refers to the LGM-30 Minuteman, an American land-based intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) and the US’ first ‘ace in the hole’ (dubbed by President JFK) during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Shows the missile launching at blastoff, where the missile was located and engineers mantling the missile. Footage of missile as active and inactive interspersed with narration from an army officer, probably from the US Air Force. Shows US Air Force preparing missile equipment in a snow-filled location Shows map honed in on ‘Malmstrom’, ‘Great Falls’, ‘AFB’.
