Men’s Lives

Uses a series of candid interviews in order to show what American boys and men believe about the American concept of masculinity. A documentary on masculinity in America, dealing with emotional, sexual, and work lives of men and boys. Pressure of stereotypes, images created by advertising, the double-standard, social values, and self-image are discussed. Film is an examination of men's socialization and roles. It looks at individual men, but also at the societal processes that shape all of us.-
