Presents a general picture of the status of several of our natural resources and shows what is meant by conserving them. Shows a family on a picnic and portrays a boy discovering the value of healthy trees. Pictures the depletion of forests by the pioneers and the subsequent reduction of wildlife and eroding of the soil. Explains briefly the functions of our state and national parks and discusses preservation and rebuilding as the two main aspects of conservation.
