Description: Episode of Series “The Craftman and His Environment”. A study of Matcham Skipper, one of Australia’s best known workers in silver, making jewellery and sculpting in silver at his studio in the old artists’ colony of Montsalvat, Victoria, in 1973. The film features the process of lost-wax casting. The film was funded by the Crafts Board of the Australia Council.
