Description: Records the history of the late Dr. Martin Luther King's "Poor Peoples March." Shows him conferring with aides, traveling to solicit support, and developing the operational details of the March. Ends documentary earlier than planned because of slaying of Dr. King., Because of the assassination of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., PBL is changing its plans. PBL has been following Dr. King since January, covering off-the-record and background sessions in order to document the history of a movement – King’s Poor People’s Campaign to redress the rights of the poor of all minority groups in America. The documentary was scheduled to be aired on April 21, when the Nobel Peace Prize winner and his followers were planning to present their demands in Washington. PBL will present its unfinished documentary on Dr. King and his movement. PBL’s report will have a series of still pictures taken by PBL’s Jon Louw immediately after the tragic slaying. He had been conferring with King only moments earlier. Louw will give an eye-witness report on PBL. Greg Shuker, PBL producer of the documentary on Dr. King, will narrate.
