Description: Introduces basic Russian expressions through the animated adventures of a Martian in Moscow to stimulate aural comprehension, promote oral fluency, and encourage written composition. Follows the Martian and his human friend as they travel on the subway to a park where they watch a chess game, listen to music, and dance. Concludes with the Martian saying good-bye to his friend and leaving on a space ship with two cosmonauts. Designed for students with one year of Russian.
