Description: Dating to circa 1928, this silent film "Magic Yellowstone" was sponsored by the Northern Pacific Railway and used to promote vacation trips to the national park. Highlights of the film include: Old Faithful (0:52), Northern Pacific passenger train moving over a high bridge (1:19), the Gardiner train station (1:47) and park entrance (2:12), antelope (2:23), Gardiner Canyon (2:36), bald eagle's nest (2:47), terraces and boiling mud (3:09), through the Golden Gate (3:35), a mountain of volcanic glass (3:51), bison herds (4:07), the Old Faithful Inn (4:30), horseback riding (4:51) and ranger feeding baby deer (5:12), bear cub (5:16), more bears (5:38), women visitors run to see Old Faithful erupt (5:51), other erupting geysers (6:30), Yellowstone is an artist's paradise (7:450, fishing (8:37), pelicans (8:43), terns (9:06), Yellowstone hotel interior showing the dance floor, restaurant and lobby (9:59), Chittenden Bridge (19:05), Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River (10:32). At (11:00) another short, "The Falls of Yosemite Park" by Cine Art shows Bridal Veil Falls (11:26), Ribbon Falls (11;43), Cascade Falls (11:59) and Yosemite Falls (12:25), Vernal Falls (12:51) and Nevada Falls.
