Complete Record: “Mack Sennett Comedies” Featuring Billy Bevan and Mildred June Directed by Roy Del Ruth A First National Attraction A trash man picks up garbage on the beach near a boardwalk and another man in a suit and bowler hat strolls off the beach. The bowler hat man gets rained on by a watering can from above, goes to a soda counter and spins on a stool and returns to the beach. On the beach, the bowler hat man flirts with a girl, gives her a pearl necklace then tries to save her downing DOG by diving off of the boardwalk into the sand Meanwhile, a life guard tries to and succeeds at saving the DOG by riding a bicycle into the ocean and swimming the DOG back. The girl is swooned by the guard but the bowler man, who is now wearing a striped bathing outfit doesn’t give up. He tries to take his necklace back from the girl and the lifeguard fights him. He gets in trouble with the police and the owner of the jeweler’s shop where the necklace is from, he stole it. ‘Noiseless Footsteps’ The lead man walks down a hallway with pillows on his feet, trying to not disturb a sleeping woman (the woman from the beach). He goes in her room, looks around and then takes back the pearl necklace. Meanwhile, she screams and police enter, shooting at him and chasing him. He escapes through a window and is in an alleyway. Police chase antics. The man hides, pretending to be a mannequin. A huge group of police are now chasing him on a trolley car, in alleys, on streets, etc. The man who owns the necklace gets it back and tries to give it to a woman, she’s being finicky and refuses. her old father fights the man and they tear apart a small building, fighting. The bowler hat man enters the scene and is fought by the old man. The old man apologizes and then the girl falls for the bowler hat guy. END
