Lyrebird: master of mimicry

Description: Lyrebirds in Sherbrooke Forest in the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria. Shows the lyrebirds displaying their powers of mimicry - the sounds they emit are extremely varied and cover a large vocal range. Few animals call for such a long period. They imitate all the other birds of the forest, the whip bird, kookaburra, a flock of rosellas and many others. Also includes their own distinctive calls and dance.
