Description: Surveys the goldsmiths’ and silversmiths’ art, bringing together an assortment of beautiful and ornate treasures from Rome, 7th century Ireland, India, mediaeval England, the work of famous goldsmiths such as Paul de lamerie, and ends with a brief look at contemporary craftsmanship. The objective of the film is to encourage people to look at fine craftsmanship with an educated eye.
